Hi, I'm Austin Sobotka, a 5th year Ph.D. Candidate in Finance at the University of Arizona, Eller College of Management.

I am interested in an array of topics in financial economics, broadly unified by a focus on how information and beliefs shape economic behavior and asset prices. My current research areas include asset pricing, investments, investor expectations, political economy, and market microstructure. 

I will be on the job market during the 2026/2027 academic year.
